took bike to campus- round trip of 8-9 miles in 3 segments.

2014
Due to high anticipated demands, I decided to give myself Fall semester 2014 "off" regarding any self care including sleeping, eating, and of course physical activity. This was with the understanding that I would readily begin proper self care after the term and an appropriate resting period.

Deciding the week or two of holidays was enough rest, I set a goal of doing something physical (cardio, strength training, or both) at least every odd day.

I aim to fulfill this by ideally running with Dan, running alone, and using neilarey.com workouts. Running with Dan I hope to increase my fast-pace stamina from less than a mile to 3-5 miles. Running alone I hope to rebuild my general jogging stamina (hopefully of higher pace than my marathon running) up to 10 miles in under 2 hours. Using calisthenics I hope to increase my overall strength training capacity, to develop overall strength especially for core and upper body, and to work toward again having strength training be part of my daily lifestyle. Ultimately I hope to rebuild and improve my running stamina and get back on track to doing pull-ups, etc.

Jan 1- running with Dan. Run charted for one mile. aggressive pace. paused with partner halfway. stretched minimally at pause and conclusion

Jan 3- dynamic pyramid from neilarey.com, 3 sets, paused 1.5 minutes between. stretched during pauses.

Jan 5- dynamic pyramid from neilarey.com, with Dan, 3 sets, long pauses between. more stretching during pauses and after. Decided to do core fusion next time. Also decided to aim to do 30 day Core challenge starting Friday Jan 30 so it would be completed the last day of February.
